Anne Krug Presents on Interferon-induced activation of dendritic cells and immune responses to Yellow Fever vaccination

Updated: Dec 4, 2024

Prof. Dr. Anne Krug, Professor of Experimental Immunology at the Institute for Immunology at LMU Munich and WP4 Lead, delivered an engaging seminar at our Partner, INSERM Institut Cochin in Paris on November 28th, 2024, invited by Anne Hosmalin, shedding light on groundbreaking research into the immune response to yellow fever vaccination. Her talk focused on the pivotal role of interferon (IFN)-induced activation in dendritic cells and monocytes, crucial players in orchestrating the body's immune defenses.

Prof. Dr. Anne Krug, who leads WP4 Initiation of the immune response and presentation of viral antigens in Yellow4FLAVI, also highlighted her work on the project. By exploring how IFN pathways influence antigen presentation and immune modulation, this research has the potential to enhance vaccine efficacy and provide deeper insights into immune system dynamics.

The seminar reinforced the importance of studying innate immunity to optimize vaccine responses.

We extend our gratitude to Prof. Anne Krug for representing Yellow4FLAVI and sharing her expertise, furthering our mission to combat flavivirus-related diseases.

Let’s continue to push the boundaries of immunological research!
