LUMC is a leading university medical center dedicated to research, education and patient care, with a strong emphasis on scientific innovation. Within the Leiden University Center for Infectious Diseases department, the Molecular Immunology team specializes in investigating antigen-specific antibody responses at the single B cell and monoclonal antibody level.  The team has developed advanced multi-omics platforms and bioinformatics pipelines to characterize effective B cell mediated immunity in humans following infections and vaccinations. Through collaborations with national and international scientists, the team has built a broad research portfolio spanning multiple infectious diseases in diverse human populations. The overarching aim of the team is to define the molecular principles underlying antigen-specific B cell responses to infectious pathogens, ultimately guiding the development of next-generation vaccines.
